Export a report to CSV (Excel, Google Sheets)
Every report tab downloads as a CSV file with the same period and filters you're looking at.
Who can do this: Everyone (members export only their own time)Updated · 2 min read
Step 1: Open Reports, choose the tab, the period and the filters, and click Update report.
Step 2: Click Export CSV at the top right (on a phone, tap ⋯, then Export CSV). The file downloads straight away.
Step 3: Open it in Excel, Google Sheets (File → Import) or Numbers.
| Tab | Columns in the file |
|---|---|
| Time | the grouping, detail, hours, billable_hours (+ billable_amount, not_invoiced for managers) |
| Detailed | date, client, project, task, person, notes, hours, billable (+ rate, amount, currency for managers), invoiced, approval. All entries, not just 500. |
| Expenses | date, client, project, category, person, notes, units, unit (+ amount, currency for managers), billable, invoiced, receipt. One row per expense, all of them. |
| Uninvoiced | client, project, hours, time_amount, expenses, currency, oldest_entry |
| Budgets | project, client, budget_type, budget, spent, remaining, percent, currency |
| Profitability | project, client, type, hours, revenue, time_cost, expenses, profit, margin_percent, currency |
| Team | person, hours, billable_hours, billable_percent, capacity_hours, utilisation_percent |
| Pending approval | person, week_start, week_end, hours, billable_hours, projects, submitted_at |
Hours are always decimal in the file (1.5, not 1:30), so spreadsheets can add them up. To download your whole account at once, see Export all your data.
