What comes across from Harvest (and what doesn't)

The importer copies your whole Harvest history, active and archived. A few things are kept read-only, and a few Harvest features don't exist in LockedHours yet.

Every time entry, with its notes, billable flag and the rates it was tracked atTime and Reports.

What stays read-only

  • Imported invoices are kept exactly as Harvest had them. You can record payments on them or correct them with a credit note, but not edit them. Your numbering carries on after the most recent Harvest invoice: the Next number in Settings → Numbering continues its sequence and, if you haven't changed the Format, the format is copied from that invoice (for example 2025-0008 gives the format {yyyy}-{n:4}, so your next invoice is 2025-0009). The What's next box on the finished import says which number comes next. See Invoice numbering.
  • Time entries that were invoiced or approved in Harvest come across locked: they show Locked in the day view and can't be edited.
  • Approval status comes across as Harvest had it (not submitted, submitted or approved): you see it in Reports → Detailed and can filter by it. Weeks still waiting in Harvest don't appear on the Approvals page; if your account requires approval, people submit them again in LockedHours. See Approve or reject timesheets.

Harvest features LockedHours doesn't have yet

Harvest isn't changed

The importer only reads. Your Harvest account keeps working exactly as before, so you can compare the two side by side.

Common problems

A teammate can't see their time

They need to accept an invitation sent to the same email they had in Harvest; their imported history is then linked to their account. See Invite your team.
